Southwest Airlines Ventures Beyond the Lower 48 and Launches Service to San Juan

It took 40 years, but Southwest Airlines will be venturing beyond the Lower 48 when it moves AirTran’s service from Orlando and Tampa to San Juan, Puerto Rico, over to Southwest beginning April 14th. They’ll start with 3 daily nonstops from Orlando and 1 daily nonstop from Tampa. They’re offering $99 fares for flights through May 23rd.

Southwest will spend 2013 integrating AirTran’s international service into the Southwest route map and will combine the two airlines into one operating company.

  1. That’s also when they start flying out of Rochester, NY  (I was born and raised in that area)

  2. Great article. If I might also add. Your investing plan should include a list of reasons for investing.
Figuring out why you want to invest, and what you are going to do with the
money you earn can help you formulate the rest of
your investment plan. It will also help you stay motivated to
    contribute to your investments.
