LOT Polish Announces 787 Schedule (With Upgraded Business Class)

LOP Polish announced the schedule for the rollout of its 787 early next year.

Chicago launches January 16; Toronto February 1st; New York Feb 3; and Beijing March 3.

Why does this matter? LOT has done a serious upgrade to their cabins with the 787, installing lie-flat seats in business class and a Premium Economy section that looks on par with domestic business class (see photos here). I believe that makes them the only Star Alliance carrier offering a true Premium Economy to Europe (I can’t think of any off the top of my head), and for those flying in business, it’s generally one of the least expensive options to Europe (typically in the $3500-$4000 range).

LOT never bothered to upgrade their business class from its 1980s-era seats, making it a relic that’s almost (almost!) worth flying just to remember how much better we have it now.

  1. Scandinavian airlines offers a similar premium economy product.

  2. Krystian Stronski

Still a horrible airline to fly, agents are rude and make you feel like they are doing you a favor. What a joke.
