Earn Up to 10,000 Bonus Membership Rewards Points By Enrolling in Pay Over Time

American Express is offering 2 deals to that will earn you bonus Membership Rewards points if you enroll in their free “Pay Over Time” service:

– For Platinum Card holders, use this link and you’ll get 10,000 bonus points for enrolling.

– For all other eligible cards (essentially all cards tied to Membership Rewards), use this link and you’ll earn 5,000 bonus points for enrolling.

Points should post within 8 weeks (ie, if my experience is any guide, you’ll have to PM the fine folks at Amex in 8 weeks to get your points.)

The service is free, and you can still pay your bill in full every month.

As always with Amex, YMMV, but it did allow me to enroll cards for my wife and I.

  1. Did this recently for my Business Gold card. Points posted within 2-3 days of enrollment. On the other hand, I had to follow up with customer service for the points when I tried this for my PR Gold card a few months ago.

  2. Credit pulls?

  3. Bobbi Shaftoe

I tried to enroll my Business Gold and I received a message saying none of my accounts is eligible. What gives?

  4. It worked for me! I remember they had something similar a few months ago and my platinum card wasnt eligible. I took a screen shot of the landing page but there is no mention of the 10k points on the confirmation page.

  5. Anyone tried enrolling a Plat and Gold card? I was just able to enroll my platinum card, but get an error when trying to enroll the gold card. The T’s & C’s state the bonus can only be received once per account

  6. bottom line, does this work for personal gold cards?
