Malev Shuts Down; AA Drops Narita

Figured I’d combined these into 1:

– Malev, Hungary’s national carrier, shut down this morning after a long illness. It was 66. If you used some American Airlines miles to book an itinerary that included Malev, now is your time to change that itinerary however you’d like. Good luck with that.

– American Airlines will resume its JFK – Tokyo Haneda service on April 1st. When it re-launches that route, it will drop its long-held JFK-Narita flight. JAL will take over flights between those airport.

  1. AA didn’t drop Narita. They’ll still fly there from ORD, DFW, and LAX.
