Hawaiian Airlines and JetBlue to Code Share, Allow for Cross Redemptions

Hawaiian Airlines and JetBlue announced they will begin an interline agreement when Hawaiian launches nonstop service from JFK to Honolulu in June.

In the coming weeks they will announce details of codeshares and, more importantly, how HawaiianMiles members can earn miles when they fly JetBlue — this is especially good for those of us who have gotten the Hawaiian airlines credit cards (which I’ve talked about her ad infinitum). Also good is that Hawaiian will allow you to redeem HawaiianMiles on JetBlue, giving those of us on the East Coast more value out of that program (assuming redemption amounts are reasonable, of course). Also good is that if you DO want to use those miles to go to Hawaii, you can fly JetBlue to the west coast and connect to a Hawaiian flight to one of the other islands.

I’ll post detail here when they’re announced.

  1. Excellent, I will hold off moving my Hawaiian miles, earned from the two credit cards, to Hilton until I see what JetBlue offers. I have never flown them but a flight to Central America/Caribbean would be better use for me than some Hilton nights.
