Earn a 20% Points Bonus with Chase Ink Bold When You Have a Chase Checking Account

I’ve written before about the Chase Ink Business Bold Card and how you’ll earn 25,000 points after first purchase, then an additional 25k points after $10,000 in spend in 3 months (keep in mind, it’s a business card….or at least a “business” card). First year fee, $95 thereafter. Many of us have the Chase Sapphire Preferred card and I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the flexibility of the transfer options for Ultimate Rewards – the Business card is good way to double your bonus for a moderate amount of spend (especially for a business).

Now Chase is offering a 20% points bonus when you get the Chase Ink Business Bold card and have a Chase checking account. In other words, $5000 in spend will earn you 6,000 points (or 1.2 points per dollar, however you prefer to look at the math). Plus, you’ll get 3 points for every $1 in airfare you book through Chase, making it comparable to the airfare points bonus found with the American Express Premier Rewards Gold card.

  1. Will opening a Chase checking account require a credit pull as well?

  2. Can you still get the 20% bonus with the Chase Checking account and the New Chase Ink Bold card combo?
