Pants on the Ground: Football Player Removed from Plane Because His Pants Were Too Low

A University of New Mexico football player was arrested at San Francisco International Airport after he refused to pull up his pants when he boarded a flight. Deshon Marmon was asked by US Airways gate agents to pull up his pants, which were sagging somewhere between his butt and his knees, before he boarded the plane. He did not. When he sat in his seat (with his pants, as the song goes, on the ground – or at least near the ground) he was asked by staff to leave the plane. He refused.

After 15 minutes he finally left, upon which he was arrested for trespassing and held on $11,000 bail.

Marmon’s mother said her son was a bit of an emotional mess because he had just attended the funeral of a friend.

  1. That’s hilarious. Love how the parent defended the kid instead of, “I told him not to dress like that a million times, now maybe he’ll learn!”

    • I should have used a [sarcasm] tag. I do not love that the parent defended public indecency. I also do not care whether the kid was on the way home from a funeral or a state dinner. Put on some pants!

  2. AT AVI ITS SAD HOW PEOPLE THINK THEY ARE ABOVE THE LAW THEY SHOULD HAVE NOT LET HIM FLOWN WITH HIS PISSY ATTITUDE NEXT TIME HE CAN TAKE THE BUS NOW PAY THE PIPER!!!!!!!!!

  3. He just came from a funeral?…. with his pants ridin’ low? Now that’s the most bizzare part.

  4. Avi & Diggy, trust me, he did not have a pissy attitude. If you watch the video, he was very calm. In fact, the police officer was the one with the attitude because the officer was clearly trying to get a rise out of him, but the young man stayed calm.

This is why I hate flying because I can’t help but feel that the flying public is being taken advantage of and treated like low-lifes because we are held captive, in that we have few options for intercity travel, so we have to rely on the sorry state of airline travel to get us to our destination. *Sigh*
