South African Airways New York – Johannesburg Flights Are Now Nonstop Both Ways

Good news for those who fly frequently to South Africa: The South African Airways flight from New York to Johannesburg, which used to make a refueling stop in Dakar, Senegal, when flying westbound, will now be a nonstop in both directions, as of yesterday. The change shaves about 90 minutes off the trip. The nonstop is now possible because of a switch from an A340-300 to an A340-600 on the route.
