Passenger Opens Door While Taxiing, Slides Onto Tarmac

Mar 4th, 2009 | By Jared Blank

An odd one:  A passenger on an American Airlines flight from Charlotte to Dallas ran to the front of the plane after it landed, opened the door, and slid down the emergency ramp onto the tarmac while the plane was taxiing..  The passenger gave no reason for his actions (unlike this passenger who opened the emergency chute because he was annoyed that coach passengers were leaving the plane before he and other first class passengers departed).

The guy who slid down the chute was uninjured and, impressively, the plane still made it to the gate on time.

  1. I hope the passenger gets to pay for the damage.
