Did the Crashed US Airways Plane Have an Engine Scare 2 Days Earlier?

Jan 20th, 2009 | By Jared Blank

I don’t know what to make of this: A number of news outlets are reporting that the same US Airways aircraft that ditched in the Hudson River had reported engine problems 2 days earlier on a flight to Charlotte (which was also flying as US Airways 1549). The pilot reported an engine compressor issue and originally planned an emergency landing after takeoff. However, he continued to Charlotte without incident.

The accident 2 days later involved both engines, whereas the first incident involved one. This sounds to me like a bizarre coincidence. Very bizarre.
