Long Embattled Sun Country Asks Workers for 50% Pay “Deferral”
Oct 1st, 2008 | By Jared BlankSun Country, which has survived despite all odds, is facing another crisis: Last week, the CEO of its parent company (Petters Group Worldwide) saw his office raided by the FBI, which has accused him of leading a massive financial fraud. Sun Country itself was not implicated in any way, and its CEO is now asking employees to take a 50% pay cut in the 4th quarter, with the idea that the pay will be given to them next year when the carrier is able to raise cash and become independent from Petters. It’s not looking good up in Minneapolis…
