Virgin Will Re-Consider Flights from Continental Europe to US

Mar 5th, 2008 | By Jared Blank

You may remember a few months ago that Virgin said it would take advantage of new open skies treaties and launch flights from Europe to the US.  Not so fast, buster.  Richard Branson said yesterday that they will hold off on that until 2011 or so, as they can’t secure the aircraft they need to fly the routes profitably.  Always good to see airline heads making smart, profit-focused decisions.
