Man Dies at Vancouver Airport After Being Tasered

This is an odd one:  A man died at Vancouver Airport after police tasered him during a rather heated confrontation.  The passenger, who spoke a language that no one recognized (which is weird on its own, though I suppose if he were speaking Albanian, who would know?) went into a rage for an unknown reason, starting throwing things around the airport, and generally having a fit.  Police were called, they used a taser to stun him (that’s not a dead parrot), and he never got up.  The story (of course) goes on to mention that the man’s fit was not an act of terrorism (as if Al Qaeda has resorted to temper tantrums to disrupt world order).

  1. an eye witness who took photos disputes the RCMP’s story – this is just another example of how Orwellian things are getting. Sickening!

  2. there were 5 or 6 officers on him and they tasered him repeadedly from the looks of the video I saw. We have not seen the end on this. Useless cops. YOu have to watch the video. These cops are wimps. They couldnt hold down bambi.

  3. The RCMP killed an unarmed man, did not even try to calm him, all four jumped on top of him, why? Because he acted up? After a 10 hr. flight, 10 hr. in the baggage area, no food or water to be had in there, no help from the Immigration, who could and should have gone to look for his sponsor (in this case, his mother), I would have acted up too! Don’t tell me the RCMP thought he had a hidden weapon there somewhere! Not a chance. Coming from Frankfurt, one goes through THREE security checks! Of course, the police didn’t take time to consider any options, to show some compassion. Neither did the staff at the Airport! A black day for Canada!
