2 Airlines to Feature Bidets on 787

Have you ever felt a little un-fresh because your airplane didn’t feature a bidet?  Me neither.  But some people apparently did, because 2 of Japan’s airlines – ANA and Japan Airlines, will outfit their new 787s with bidets.

  1. I don’t know if y’all have experienced one of these.

My first was in a hotel in Tokyo back in my 20’s in 1996. I woke up in the middle of the night half asleep needing to go and not understanding the whole high-tech toilet gismo I just pressed all the buttons and then jumped two feet in the air and needed to take a shower afterwards.

Definitely a cultural shock I will never forget. So they should provide warning signs or instruction cards for (country-folk) foreign passengers. ^^

  2. Wow. Yeah it is definitely a cultural shock. I’ve only used one of those once when I was in Tokyo. Definitely not my thing. I don’t even know how it works or how they would put it on a plane.
