Muslim Man Kicked Off Plane Because He Wanted to Pray

Jul 9th, 2007 | By Jared Blank

A Muslim man was kicked off a Thomsonfly flight in Newcastle, England, because he asked a flight attendant if he could pray in a galley of the plane.  The flight attendant freaked a bit, then called the captain, who had the man removed from the plane.  The UK has been on high alert since the attack at Glasgow airport last week, though this sounds like a more typical American overreaction.  The airline has said it was their right to remove the passenger.
