Spirit Airlines Quietly Downgrades Its Business Class
Mar 6th, 2007 | By Jared BlankSpirit Airlines has quietly downgraded its business class product to something it’s calling "Big Front Seat." Basically, you get a business class (ish) seat with no frills. Considering how cheap it is (NYC to Florida round trip can be in the $400 range, or less), it’s still a great deal. But I thought you’d want to know.
It ain’t just the front of the bus being downgraded. They’ll be charging 5 bucks a bag to check your luggage and a buck a Coke.
Supposedly they want to be an “ultra low cost carrier.”
Maybe we’d all be better just taking an actual bus. Here’s hoping this experiment in “Ryanair crosses the Atlantic” fails.
