Spirit Airlines Will Charge $10 For Second Piece of Luggage

Feb 7th, 2007 | By Jared Blank

Pack well if you’re going to fly on Spirit Airlines:  The carrier will begin charging $10 for the second bag you check and $100 (yes, $100) for the 3rd bag.  Leave those bulky sweaters at home…

  1. This will never fly! I travel frequently and have flown on Sprit. I sometime bring two or three bags because of business. This will give me a reason NOT to select Spirit. If you recall NW tried to collect an additional five dollars for a pre-reserved seat and look where it got them? This will not last because you cannot charge people who do not fly your airline.

  2. Uhhhhh - YUP still charging for baggage. How did that prediction work out for ya “Road Traveler”?
