CanJet Shuts Down

Sep 6th, 2006 | By Jared Blank

But news for Canadian travelers:  your flights may get a bit more expensive.  Discount carrier CanJet shut down yesterday with no warning, stranding passengers across the country.  The airline cited the usual high fuel costs blah blah blah as the reasons for its shutdown.  Canjet held about 5% of domestic market share.

  1. CantJet was a lousy airline anyway. They treated employees piss poor. I for one know very well. So what goes around, comes around. Too bad for the travelling public to lose an option, too bad for employees there, but at a selfish, personal level….YESSSSSSSSS!
