New Tool to Compare Historical Airfares

Jun 1st, 2006 | By Jared Blank

One of my favorite fare comparison tools, Farecompare.com, has introduced a new feature that lets you see airfare trends over time between 2 cities.  In other words, if you search for, say, New York to Atlanta, you can look at the average airfares by month for the past year and see whether you’d be better off waiting for a lower fare to come up.  The tool will also rate the current fare (on a 4 star scale) to suggest whether now is a good time to buy.  This will all make sense when you play with it.  Enjoy!
