117 Dead in Nigeria Crash

Oct 24th, 2005 | By Jared Blank

A Bellview Airlines 737 crashed outside of Lagos, Nigeria, over the weekend killing all 117 on abord.  The flight from Lagos to Abuja was filled with high ranking government officials as well as expatriates. The plane was more than 20 years old, but please remember that this means absolutely nothing.  Officials recovered the black boxes today, so we will eventually know a bit more about why the crash occurred.
