13 Dead in Congo Plane Crash

Sep 11th, 2005 | By Jared Blank

Thirteen passengers were killed when an Antonov 26 flown by Congo-based Air Kasai crashed north of  Brazzaville in the Congo Republic.  The Russian-made plane is the second to crash in the region in less than a week.  Another Antonov crashed on Monday in the Democratic Republic of Congo, killing all seven passengers on board.  Weather was said to have contributed to the latter accident.

On a completely unrelated note, I’m traveling for work this week so posting may be a bit spotty.  I’ll try my gosh darndest.  In fact, I’ll even let you know that Baghdad’s airport has re-opened after a money-related dispute that I mentioned last Friday.  OK, that’s it.  Go back to work.  I’ll have good stuff tomorrow.
