Delta to Sell Planes, Eliminate Flights

In a bid to shore up their finances, Delta has announced that it is eliminating about a quarter of its flights from Cincinnati, selling 11 of its 767-200 aircraft, and reducing 1,000 jobs.  (In case you were wondering, 11 Boeing 767s costs about $180 million) Even with these moves, most observers believe the carrier will need to declare bankruptcy within a month or so.  In total, the airline is eliminating nonstop service to 9 cities, though all are still served through connections.  The majority of the eliminate flights are early morning or late night departures.
