Alaska Airlines Ontime Rate Drops Below 50%

Aug 10th, 2005 | By Jared Blank

Alaska Airlines’ ontime rate dropped below 50% in June, the worst performance by an airline since United’s labor slowdown in 2000.  The 49.8% ontime rate rose to more than 65% in July, but the airline admitted it was below where it should be.  In response, the carrier reduced its summer schedule, prompting the July improvement.  No reason was given for the poor performance.
