Southwest Airlines to Change Seattle Airports?

Jun 15th, 2005 | By Jared Blank

Southwest Airlines is reportedly considering moving its operations in Seattle from Sea-Tac to little-known Boeing Field.  Southwest has complained about costs and limited options for expansion at Sea-Tac and has stepped up talks about a move to nearby Boeing Field.  Because of a recent expansion at Sea-Tac, political opposition is strong, and I expect this will be more of a cost savings ploy than a real threat.
