Pssst…Wanna Buy United?

A recent court filing by United Airlines implies that an outside group may be interested in purchasing the carrier once it emerges from bankruptcy.  In a bit of convoluted language the likes of which I have never seen, the filing notes:

The committee does not acquiesce in or endorse any implication in the
debtors’ motion that there are not qualified parties interested in
submitting alternate plans of reorganization…

I have no idea what that means, but perhaps someone will buy United at some point.  Maybe we should pretend I didn’t write anything and carry on with our day…
