In case you were wondering how Google’s stock price has shot up to almost $300/share, here’s one little factoid: EasyJet says they spend about GBP 18,000 per day advertising with Google. In US dollars, they’re spending more than $10,000,000 per year. Crazy. For people who are convinced that Google will enter the online travel agency space, you’ve got to wonder whether Google would risk this insanely profitable revenue for a shot at the agency world. I would think they’d prefer to rake these ad dollars in hand-over-fist with little-to-no effort.
