Jet Airways: We’re Not an Al Qaeda Partner

Indian carrier Jet Airways, which has hopes on flying to the US soon, has faced an allegation by a US company of the same name (oddly) that the Indian carrier has ties to Al Qaeda.  In a filing with the US Department of Transportation, the US-based Jet Airways said that permitting the carrier to fly to the US would be a breach of security.  The Indian Jet Airways, which, as you might imagine, denies the accusation, has retailiated, threatening to sue the US company.  Jet Airways is India’s largest domestic carrier and is hoping to start service to Newark (through Brussels) in June.
