A380 Delay Follow-up
Jun 2nd, 2005 | By Jared BlankA bit of follow-up from yesterday’s story that the A380 will be delayed another 6 months:
–The delays are apparently due to engineering and electrical problems. Airbus insists that it has nothing to do with flight tests (ie, the plane can fly), and then it placed the blame on the airlines themselves, noting that customization for certain carriers has caused redesigns.
–The management of Qantas and Singapore are quite unhappy and, in line with their contracts, will demand compensation from Airbus.
