Turkish Budget Carrier Fights Europe Ban

I’m frequently asked if a given airline is safe or not, and I always assure people that if an airilne is flying to a reputable country, than it is safe.  Which is why the move by Germany, the Netherlands, and Italy to ban Turkish budget carrier Onur Air means that there were probably strange things afoot at the airline.  Onur Air, which has been flying since 1992, has stranded 50,000 tourists as a result of the ban, and a retailiation by the Turkish government, who initially refused to allow German planes into Turkey to take the stranded travelers home.  Representatives of the European governments said that the airline has one month to get its act together.
