Continental Looking to Sell Assets

May 16th, 2005 | By Jared Blank

Did you ever want to live in Guam?  Did you ever want to run a Guam-based airline?  Continental might have an offer for you.  The carrier is looking to sell some of its assets to raise cash, and on the block or its ExpressJet division, its 49% stake in Panamanian carrier COPA, and its Continental Micronesia unit.  The latter, based in Guam, is pretty successful and, I mean this in a good way, based in Guam.  Which is probably a bit nicer than wherever you live.  Reasonable offers considered.

  1. From what I’ve heard, Guam is absolutely covered in snakes. OK, here it is from the Wikipedia: “Guam is one of the areas with the highest snake density in the world (an estimated 2,000 snakes/km²)”

    I think I’ll pass…
