Peru Airline CEO Drug Kingpin?

Mar 14th, 2005 | By Jared Blank

You may remember that the US government accused the CEO of Peru’s AeroContinente of being a drug kingpin.  The NY Times has an article today detailng the trial against the CEO, which suggests that the government doesn’t have much evidence against him.  Although he is accused of using AeroContinente planes to shuttle drugs all over the world for other South American drug warlord types, the government never actually found any drugs on board the aircraft in the US.  It’s a good read.
