Chicago Express Goes for $25,000

Feb 15th, 2005 | By Jared Blank

You may remember 2 weeks ago I mentioned that little Chicago Express was being put up for sale by parent company ATA.  I also noted that I thought you should buy it (you, collectively, I suppose).  Well, it turns out that you, personally, probably could’ve bought it.  For less than the cost of a Volvo, a Boston investor has won the bidding for Chicago Express.  His, get this, $25,000 bid was accepted by ATA.  Unfortunately for him, a bankruptcy judge has blocked the sale, but you could’ve owned an airline for $25k.
