Continental’s Losses Mount

As predicted, Continental continued to lose $3 million a day in January.  Continental said that the fare restructuring would hurt them in the short term, even as analysts said that the airline would grab market share from discounters because of the simplified pricing.  It remains to be seen if and when the airline will actually see any financial benefits from the new fares, though it certainly has gained goodwill from customers.  Unfortunately, goodwill don’t pay the bills.
