TED to Fly to Midway

Jan 6th, 2005 | By Jared Blank

United’s low-fare arm TED will begin flights from Chicago Midway to Denver and Washington Dulles on April 3rd.  You’ll note that Southwest doesn’t fly to either of those cities from Midway.  While it may seem a bit odd for United to start serving Midway, it’s really a pretty good move:  Southwest doesn’t fly to either of those cities, and TED was created (in part) as a testing ground for new services.  I’m sure that the folks who run Midway, which is making itself out to be the hub of lowfare flights in the midwest, were thrilled at this.
