Plane Crash at Banda Aceh

Jan 4th, 2005 | By Jared Blank

As if things weren’t bad enough, a cargo plane carrying aid to Indonesia had its landing gear collapse at Banda Aceh airport, the main hub for relief efforts to the country.  The 737 blocked the runway, which made it impossible for other aid flights to land.  The aircraft has now been cleared.

An Australian soldier says that the plane may have hit a cow.  Really.
