TSA Screeners Do Not Urn Their Pay at SEA

Dec 1st, 2004 | By Jared Blank

Family members of the late Mr. Charles Mason are very upset after TSA screeners as Sea-Tac airport in Seattle overturned Mr. Mason’s ashes during a somewhat overzealous security inspection.  The family was transporting the remains to San Diego so they could be scattered in the area, but during a search by the screeners the remains were spilled out of the urn and all over the backpack.  While this is certainly a serious matter, it brings to mind the question about whether you have been separated from your luggage since it’s been packed.  In Mr. Mason’s case, the answer, I suppose, is no.

  1. His ashes were scattered in the area, Jared. Just within a very small radius.
