ATA Avoids Liquidation

Nov 11th, 2004 | By Jared Blank

ATA will not be forced to liquidate (this week) thanks to a $15 million infusion from the State of Indiana.  Because the state is not permitted to make loans to businesses, they will undertake a convoluted scheme to buy assets from ATA, sell them to Indianapolis Airport, who will then turn around and lease them back to ATA.  Ah, loopholes.
