Frontier Raises Fare Cap

Nov 10th, 2004 | By Jared Blank

A while back Frontier Airlines said that it would cap all fares at $299.  Well, yesterday the carrier doffed its cap, so to speak, and raised the top fare on 8 of its routes somewhat permanently and in its Florida routes on a seasonal basis.  The airline says only a small percentage of its passengers will be affected, and that the move was necessary because of fuel costs.  Even so, it’s always painful when a company breaks a promise.  I’ll get over it.
