I liked a quote in today’s NY Times article from the Chairman of British Airways:
"I’ve come to the conclusion that this is something of a crazy
business…" Even as the industry is going through a downturn, some carriers are adding capacity…and despite deregulation, some governments are keeping afloat
airlines that should have been bought or shut down, he said. "There
remains the walking dead, propped up by the governments…"
That pretty much sums it up, doesn’t it.
