Fat People are Expensive

The Centers for Disease Control has calculated that airlines had to spend an extra $275 million on fuel in 2000 because passengers are getting fatter.  The average weight of Americans rose 10 pounds (damn!) in the 1990s.  I think we can do even better in the 2000s.  I’m having some bacon on my steak this morning to celebrate.  I say bring us More Twinkies in Coach.
