Airbus, American in Fight Over Crash

Oct 25th, 2004 | By Jared Blank

American Airlines and Airbus are in a rather nasty dispute over the cause of a 2001 crash in Queens. Airbus says that American’s pilot training is flawed and was responsible for the pilot error that ultimately caused the accident. American, on the other hand, says that Airbus has covered up design flaws in the A300-600. The article above goes into greater detail, but it highlights the fact that when people discuss the cause of an aviation accident 2 hours after it happens, they actually have no idea what they’re talking about.
