LanPeru Grounded

Oct 15th, 2004 | By Jared Blank

Bad news if you are flying LanPeru: Specifically, you won’t be flying LanPeru. The government grounded the carrier after a court ruled that too much of its ownership was foreign. The airline claims that it has a proper level of Peruvian ownership. Regardless of who’s right, thousands of people will be stranded by this turn of events. Miserable.
