Dutch Carrier Stops Flying

Oct 12th, 2004 | By Jared Blank

Dutch low-cost carrier V-Bird suspended its flights until further notice. Further notice meaning “forever.” The airline was based in Germany, near the Dutch border, and flew to 17 destinations in Europe. Though only somewhat reported over here in the US, Europe has a huge (and growing) number of low-cost startups, most of which will fail. V-Bird’s demise will hardly make a dent.
