Reasons to Cancel Flights

Sep 23rd, 2004 | By Jared Blank

Two more successes in the war on terror yesterday.

Every publication has coveredthe flight diverted by the presence of Cat Stevens, so I won’t bore you with any jokes about being followed by a Moonshadow or Peace Train or whatever.

However, few publications have covered the Midwest Airlines flight that was cancelled because of, get this, “Arabic type handwriting” found in a magazine (thanks to Webflyer Blog for pointing this out). Yes, a flight was cancelled because of some scribbling that may or may not have been Arabic. All Arabic speakers should remove all doodles before entering the airplane. Thank you. And we ask all non-Arabic speakers not to doodle in an Arabic manner while on board.
