A bit of controversy from Copa Airways: The airline mistakenly posted a $113 round trip fare from New York or LAX to Lima, Peru. In business class. A bunch of people jumped on the fare, which disappeared after about 90 minutes. Now, Copa (which is half owned by Continental) is saying that the fare was posted in error and will not honor the tickets. Weak. Icelandair sucked up a bunch of free tickets that were available in error on Cheaptickets.com this summer. I think Copa will stick to their guns.
To cheer yourself up if you bought a ticket in error, head on over to Gate 1 Travel where they are selling 5 and 6 day packages to Prague, Paris, Budapest, Rome or Venice for under $400.
