US Airways Daily Update

After yesterday’s good news about the launch of the FLL mini-hub, US Airways faced some bad news when their talks with their pilots union collapsed. The carrier is seeking $300 million in givebacks from the union, including a 16% paycut. An agreement with the pilots union is key to US Airways undertaking any sort of restructuring–other unions will look to the pilots to determine whether the airline is worth saving.
