Ever wonder why pilots tell you to keep your seatbelt fastened while there’s no turbulence? (probably not, but I couldn’t think of another introductory sentence). 23 passengers on a TAP Air Portugal Flight were injured when their pilot had to descend quickly to avoid a mid-air collision near the Azores on Friday. No passengers were seriously hurt, but all of the injuries were caused because people weren’t wearing their seatbelts. No word on why another plane was in the same airspace.
