Plane Crash in Sierra Leone — All Survive

An Air Guinea 737 crashed on Thursday as it attempted to take off from Freetown, Sierra Leone. The aircraft ditched into a nearby swamp, but, incredibly, all 126 passengers emerged uninjured. African airlines have, to be generous, subpar safety records (South African Airways, and a couple of others, excepted); over the past year, three commercial flights crashed shortly after takeoff in Africa.
