Independence Air Strands Passengers, Then Makes Nice

Thanks to the USA Today blog for this tidbit: An Independence Air flight from DC to Boston last Wednesday let passengers sit on a plane on the tarmac for 5 hours before taking off. Yikes. The story has a happy ending: each passenger was given a certificate for $525 for flights on the airline (that’s worth up to 5 round trips on the carrier—a pretty nice gesture).

  1. Air Independence should consider renaming itself Air Indifferent as its more representative of their approach to customer relations. Its been 12 days since they misplaced my bag, yet I have yet to hear back from their Customer Advocay Center after having been promised 12, yes 12 times, that I should expect a call by the end of that respective business day!
