Two years ago my wife and I were looking through some papers on our desk and we noticed an unused ticket on Delta with Susan’s name on it. Turns out she had a business trip for which she bought a ticket and never traveled. Even better, the ticket was worth $1200. Unfortunately, that ticket expired one year prior to us finding it. I then proceded to bawl my eyes out over the loss of $1,200 in travel. Susan married me anyway.
With that story in mind, I wanted to tell you that the Pentagon has determined that it is sitting on $100 million in unused airline tickets from the past few years. Makes me feel a bit better.
